*As the most vulnerable group is the elderly I didn't include a kids size - not because it isn't necessary, but because I just don't have the time and need to prioritize. You can find the kids sizes at the link at the bottom of the page - construction is exactly the same. You will just have to fiddle a bit to get the wire and filter right. I found the basic mask to be super cozy (because of the jersey material), if you can't bring your child to wear a mask with a wire, that one would be a nice alternative. Also: Children usally don't have prominent noses so air tightness shouldn't be as much of a problem.

Explanation of the different pattern pieces:
If you want to you can print out a seperate lining piece instead of folding the outer fabric piece at the dotted line:

Please make sure that you don't confuse the filter and the lining piece

Please note that the seam allowance for the filter is just 5 mm

Credit #1: My boyfriend plotted the sewing patterns from what I drew on paper, so the fact that you have a correctly scaled printable is wholly his doing. Making dreams possible each and every day ;)

Credit #2: I based the design on a free pattern on craftpassion.com They do a toddler and kids size as well, if you want to check it out contact me and I will send you the link!
